One of the groups that Member Care Ministry has been reaching out to are people with dementia and their families. Through this training, the ministry hopes to share experiences on how to make visits more personalized and impactful to those with dementia.
Some of the areas we hope to share in our skills training include the following:
Member Care Team Visits on mission with God;
Finding out & interacting on the background of the visited;
Discovering the interests of the person & creating more suitable activities;
Reaching out to the person physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually;
Timing the visit & activities for effectiveness;
Praying with for & with those visited
Whether you have a loved one with dementia or would like to help reach out to some of our church & community, come to share and be equipped in this training.
